Santa Rosa, Calif. The Lady Hawks started the 2nd round of Big 8 play Friday when they traveled to Santa Rosa.
Friday's match against Santa Rosa was intense and hard played match that ended with the Lady Hawks bringing home a point. The 0-0 draw gives the Lady Hawks a (4-3-2) conference record.
The Lady Hawks controlled most of the match and most of the game was played on the Santa Rosa side of the field. Lady Hawks created a number of chances, but it just wasn't their day. Freshmen forward Helaina Garcia had one of the best chances of the game, on a good run down the line from sophomore Obioma Onejeme who then crossed the ball to Helaina. Her first shot was saved by the crossbar and then retrieved the rebound and a defender deflected her shot.
Next up for the Lady Hawks a trip to Modesto on Friday October 25th.
