Hawks Battle Hard Against Sierra College in Regular Season Finale

Despite the final score, Cosumnes River College showed determination and effort throughout its matchup with Sierra College, battling a ranked opponent in the final game before the postseason.

The RHawks stayed within striking distance early, competing defensively for much of the game. Ariel Bailey led Cosumnes River with 14 points and eight rebounds, providing a steady offensive presence. Peyton Thorpe added eight points and five rebounds off the bench, while Arianna Butler contributed eight rebounds in the paint.

Cosumnes River also showed resilience on the glass, finishing with 44 total rebounds and holding Sierra to 34 percent shooting from the field. While Sierra eventually pulled away in the second half, the Hawks continued to compete and gained valuable experience against a ranked program.

With the regular season now complete, Cosumnes River turns its focus toward the upcoming postseason, looking to build on the effort and toughness displayed against one of the top teams in the region.
