Cosumnes River College came up just short in a 68–64 loss to Modesto. The Hawks clawed back from an early deficit and to keep the game within striking distance until the final buzzer.
Ariel Bailey led the effort with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Zakara Cooper scored 20 points. The Hawks' defense forced turnovers and contested shots gave them a 1 point lead going into the fourth quarter.
