Cosumnes River College nearly rallied past No. 17 Folsom Lake before falling 7–5 in a competitive home matchup on March 10.
After trailing most of the game, the Hawks showed their resilience with a four-run rally in the seventh inning. Imani Black sparked the comeback with a clutch two-run double, and Emily Azemar followed with an RBI single to cut the deficit to just two runs.
Cosumnes River finished with eight hits, led by Emma Misasi (2 hits, 2 runs), Imani Black (2 hits, 2 RBIs), and Kaylena Ogle, who added two hits at the plate while pitching a complete game.
Despite the loss, the Hawks' late push against a ranked opponent highlighted their ability to compete and fight until the final out.
