Marsh and Williams Set the Tone Early as Hawks Get the Victory Over College of Marin
Cosumnes River College put together a complete, high-energy performance Wednesday night, overwhelming College of Marin 92–63 behind relentless rebounding, balanced scoring, and steady control from start to finish. The Hawks set the tone early, exploding for 50 first-half points to open a commanding halftime lead they never relinquished.
CRC's physical presence inside proved decisive, as the Hawks dominated the glass 71–31 and consistently generated second-chance opportunities. Jake Williams and Mason Marsh led the charge with 18 and 16 points respectively, while both players posted double-digit rebounds to anchor a powerful frontcourt effort. Marsh also filled the stat sheet with five assists, and two blocks.
Depth was another key factor for Cosumnes River, with contributions throughout the rotation keeping pressure on Marin for all 40 minutes. The Hawks' defensive intensity forced turnovers and limited Marin to just 27.5 percent shooting from the field, turning stops into transition scoring opportunities.
