Career High 33 Point Triple-Double From Marsh Leads the Hawks to Blow Past American River 100-74
Cosumnes River put together one of its most complete performances of the season on Friday night, cruising to a 100–74 victory over American River. The Hawks set the tone early with a 45–37 halftime lead and exploded for 55 second-half points to pull away and secure the decisive win.
Mason Marsh delivered a dominant all-around performance, pouring in a career-high 33 points on 14-of-22 shooting while recording a triple-double with 15 rebounds and 10 assists. Marsh also contributed defensively with three steals and two blocks, anchoring a Hawks effort that controlled both ends of the floor.
The Hawks showcased their depth and balance throughout the night. Aaron Gillyard added 12 points while going a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line and dished out four assists. Aalijah Gillyard and Kainoa Marasco combined for 15 points and 11 rebounds, providing steady production in the starting lineup. Jake Williams was active on the glass, finishing with 11 rebounds to go along with six points.
Cosumnes River's bench played a key role in extending the lead in the second half. Brandon Wasserman knocked down all three of his three-point attempts and scored 14 points, while Jaden High chipped in 13 points on an efficient 4-of-7 shooting night. Arthur Grady Jr. added six rebounds and four points in limited minutes as the Hawks continued to dominate inside.
As a team, Cosumnes River shot an impressive 60.7 percent from the field, outrebounded American River 49–30, and totaled 20 assists on 37 made baskets. The Hawks' efficiency and unselfish play proved too much for American River to overcome as Cosumnes River pulled away late and closed out the emphatic conference victory.
