Cosumnes River Battles to the Final Buzzer in Heartbreaking 67–65 Playoff Thriller vs Columbia College

Cosumnes River College left everything on the floor in a tightly contested playoff matchup, falling just short in a 67–65 thriller against Columbia College on February 28.

The Hawks came out strong, taking a 31–28 lead into halftime behind efficient offense and strong rebounding. Mason Marsh led the charge with a standout performance, finishing with 21 points and 9 rebounds, while Kainoa Marasco and Aalijah Gillyard each added 12 points to keep Cosumnes River in control early.

Columbia pushed back in the second half, but the Hawks continued to fight possession after possession. Cosumnes River shot over 41% from the field and controlled the boards 32–27, keeping the game within reach down to the final moments.

Despite the narrow result, the Hawks delivered a hard-fought performance in front of their home crowd.
