SANTA ROSA (2-8) – The Hawks traveled to Santa Rosa to take on Santa Rosa Junior College. The Bear Cubs defeated the Hawks 67-50. 

From the tip, the Hawks fought and gave great defensive effort. Micaela Dagler led the Hawks with nine rebounds and four steals. Dagler also scored eight points for the Hawks. Arionna Butts, Sheniah Castex and Brookelyn Larkin had three steals apiece.

Offensively, free throw trouble hurt the Hawks as they went 3-13 from the free throw line. The Hawks were helped by layups and solid passing. Castex led the Hawks with fourteen points and Larkin had thirteen of her own.

In the fourth quarter, the Hawks went on a run and trimmed the Bear Cubs lead to 12 points. 

The next game for the Hawks is Tuesday as they take on Modesto Junior College in Sacramento at 5:30 pm.
