The Hawks Women's basketball season opener wasn't what they had hoped for, even after going up 4-0 in the early minutes. The Eagles started out hot from beyond the arc and never really cooled down as they ran out to a 55-29 halftime lead and never looked back.

Three Hawks were in double figures led by Daija Ward who had 15 points followed by Briana Barnes scoring 12 and Trina Shaner who had 11.
